For individuals

The accounts, files, and people you'll eventually leave behind.

Most of what makes up a life today lives online, scattered across services that were never designed to talk to each other, let alone to your family. We help you get ahead of that — or help your family work through it after the fact.

Before death — preventative

While there's still time to choose

This is inventory work, mostly. Not every account needs a plan, but every account should at least be known about. We help you find what exists, decide what matters, and record it somewhere your family or executor can actually use.

Email

Often the master key to everything else — password resets, financial notices, and years of context that nobody else has.

Photos & video

Decades of family history, often duplicated across phones, laptops, cloud backups, and services that quietly changed their terms.

Social & professional profiles

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the smaller communities that mattered just as much but get overlooked.

Home servers & personal projects

The things that don't fit neatly into Gmail, iCloud, or Google Drive — a NAS, a self-hosted blog, a hobby project only you know how to keep running.

Shared bills & accounts

Website hosting, utilities, mobile plans, joint bank accounts — practical, recurring, and often the first thing that quietly breaks.

A word on shared bills, wills, and trusts. Untangling shared accounts almost always leads somewhere legal — ownership, beneficiaries, power of attorney. We're not a law firm and don't draft wills or trusts, but we've seen enough of these situations to know which questions to ask and which specialists to bring in. When your plan needs an estate attorney or a financial advisor who understands digital assets, we'll help you find and brief one.

After death — forensic

When someone has already died

This is the harder version of the same problem, done under worse conditions — grief, urgency, and accounts nobody wrote down anywhere. We work directly with families and executors to find what's out there and decide what to do with it.

What we typically do

  • Build a working inventory of known and hard-to-find accounts, from email trails, saved passwords, statements, and devices
  • Work through each platform's own process — memorialization, legacy contact transfer, or account closure
  • Recover or preserve content worth keeping before an account is closed or lapses
  • Flag anything that's actively costing money, so nothing keeps billing a card that's no longer being watched

What we don't do

  • Make legal decisions about ownership, inheritance, or estate distribution — that's the executor's and attorney's role, and we work alongside them, not instead of them
  • Access accounts we don't have proper authority to access, even when a family asks us to move quickly
  • Pretend there's a single tidy process — most platforms still handle this inconsistently, and some don't handle it at all

Depth of involvement

You choose how much of this we do together

Advisory

A working session and a written roadmap. You and your family do the rest, with a clear reference to work from.

Guided

We work alongside you — reviewing your inventory, sitting in on platform calls, checking your plan before it's final.

Full-service

We handle discovery and execution directly on your behalf, reporting back at each decision point.

Not sure where to start? Our legacy contact checklist is free and takes about fifteen minutes — no consultation required. If you have broader questions first, the FAQ is a good next stop.
