Will your digital footprint live onwards after you die?
LiveOnwards is a group of compassionate advisors on the accounts, files, and systems a person or an organization leaves behind online — and for the people left to make sense of them.
We work before a death, when there's still time to choose, and after one, when someone has to act before things start to fall apart or disappear online.
How we think about the work
Two kinds of work, one continuous problem
Before death
Preventative
We help people and organizations put their digital lives in order while there's still room to decide, rather than react. That means finding out what actually exists, deciding what matters, and writing it down somewhere a trusted person can find it.
- A working inventory of accounts, files, and access
- Clear decisions about what to keep, close, or pass on
- A plan that doesn't rely on anyone guessing your passwords
After death
Forensic
When someone has already died, we help the people left behind find, secure, and act on what's still online — the accounts nobody remembers, the subscriptions still billing, the photos scattered across services no one thought to check.
- Locating accounts and content across services, known and obscure
- Working through each platform's memorial or closure process
- Coordinating with the family's legal and financial representatives
Who we work with
Individuals, and organizations
For individuals
Email, photos, profiles, and the projects only you understood
Personal archives, shared bills, home servers, side projects — content that accumulates for decades and rarely lives in one place.
See how we help individualsFor organizations
The systems a business runs on, and what keeps it running without you
Discovery of digital assets, billing and vendor relationships, and whether your architecture can survive a sudden transition.
See how we help organizations"We've helped families and organizations navigate digital succession at every stage — long before a death, and long after one."
LiveOnwards grew out of years of doing this work informally, for families and for the businesses they ran. We're not a law firm, and we don't pretend to be one — but we understand digital footprints, the ownership of content, and what it actually takes to move an account, close a service, or keep a system running after the person who built it is gone.
